NO to more flats in St James Road
To: Brentwood Borough Council, Town Hall, Ingrave Road
We, the undersigned, call on Brentwood Borough Council to refuse the Taylor Wimpey development proposed for Brunel House in St James Road as the area can not cope with more people in this already crowded area.
We are concerned about:
- the parking problems that are making people's lives so difficult with 0.8 spaces per property
- the inability of a fire engine or other emergency vehicles to access the far end of Rollason Way
- over-development and over-crowding
- the sheer size of this development, that towers above the existing Brunel House
- the strain on the infrastructure of the Warley area
- the impact on crime and anti-social behaviour in the area
- the dark tunnel effect this will create in St James Road
- the traffic movements that will be impeded by the installation of traffic lights
- the creation of a convenience store that will increase noise and disruption due to deliveries and traffic.
